Top Ten Tuesday is hosted over at The Broke and the Bookish.
This week the topic is Books I feel as though everyone has read but me.
- Delirium by Lauren Oliver- I actually read half the book back in February when I had it on my computer, and not an actual copy. I now have an actual book so I'm not sure why I haven't read it. I see tons of reviews for it.
- Across the Universe by Beth Revis- Again I have this book on my shelf, and have had it since it came out, but haven't gotten around to reading it. I think my conscience is telling me to wait for all the books in the series that way I don't have to wait on cliffs.
- Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins- Believe it or not I actually don't have a copy of this book yet. :( I do however have Lola and the boy next door. I was kinda wanting to read Anna first. -sigh-
- Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer- I wanted this to hurry up come out so bad, and now that it has I have yet to even buy it. I think it's the new covers that are making me not want it. I hate them.
- The Fallen Series by Lauren Kate- Yes, I haven't read any of them, and I have the 3 that are out. Perhaps I should just wait until Rapture comes out next year. (I think that's the last book)
- City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare- I've read the first 3, but I'm a little hesitant to read this. I've heard mix things about it.
- The BDB series by J.R Ward- So, now that I have all of them. Maybe I can read them, but they're so intimidating just the thickness of them.
- The Near Witch by Victoria Schwab- I've read really good things about this. Not to mention I keep having dreams about it. Maybe, it's telling me I need to buy it.
- Any of the classics: Jane Eyre, P & P just any of them. I feel kind of bad not reading them.
- So there are tons more that I can think of, but the last one that comes to mind is Divergent (and that's only because it's like staring at me from my bookshelf telling me I need to read it now. As I type this.)
City of Fallen Angels was very good, but not as good as the first three books. As much as I like reading more about these characters, I kind of wish she'd stopped at book 3.
ReplyDeleteDivergent is absolutely amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteI have Hush Hush on my list and Delirium is sitting over there on my shelf.
I could not stand Fallen, which is really too bad because I picked up Torment and Passion at WalMart while I waited for it in the mail. *sigh*
Thanks for letting me know I was wrong about Sophie's age! I don't know why I was remembering 12. >.<
ReplyDeleteI love anything Jane Austen, though I myself have only read Pride and Prejudice. I have many of the others though and want to eventually read them.
I definitely suggest getting to Across the Universe, Nightshade, and OMG especially Anna and the French Kiss! I was initially turned off by Anna's title and cover, but then I read it and it is my favorite contemporary book of all time.
Divergent is amazing, and definitely worth reading. The Black Dagger Brotherhood is such a great series, and don't worry about the length of the books; these guys/vampires will show you that size doesn't always matter;P
ReplyDeleteThe BDB series isn't too bad size wise once you get started, or atleast they are that way to me. It seems like it would take me forever to read but I get through them pretty quickly.
ReplyDeleteDivergent, Fallen, and Delirium are also on my list.
Alison- I've heard a lot of people say that.
ReplyDeleteKathy- That's problem I don't want to be let down by them.
Chelsey- NO prob. :) Oh I read nightshade and liked it I just haven't bought the second in the series. I'm gonna have to get Anna
Nina- LOL I could not help but laugh out loud literally at my computer from what you said. I will see what I can do.
ILV- I know probably aren't once I keep caught up in them but just seeing them there on myshelf. wow.
I totally get your feeling on holding off on books until the entire series comes out! I've done that with a lot of books and I'm always thankful. I read Across the Universe though and now I can't wait for A Million Suns! Ughhhh! Anna and the French Kiss is on the top of my TBR list! I read The Near Witch and it didn't really capture me like I thought it would. I loved the writing, but the story just didn't pull me in very much. :( There are a bunch of your list I've been wanting to read though and haven't yet!

Divergent is amazing. You should listen to it and pick it up!
ReplyDeleteBooks of Amber
I haven't read most of your top 10, numbers 3-9. I keep seeing the BDB on several people's list, I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't yet read these. I agree with Amber, Divergent is amazing! Out of the 3 on your list that I have read, that is the one I would recommend. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
