Synopsis:
BRIE'S LIFE ENDS AT SIXTEEN: Her boyfriend tells her he doesn't love her, and the news breaks her heart—literally.
But now that she's D&G (dead and gone), Brie is about to discover that love is way more complicated than she ever imagined. Back in Half Moon Bay, her family has begun to unravel. Her best friend has been keeping a secret about Jacob, the boy she loved and lost—and the truth behind his shattering betrayal. And then there's Patrick, Brie's mysterious new guide and resident Lost Soul . . . who just might hold the key to her forever after.
With Patrick's help, Brie will have to pass through the five stages of grief before she's ready to move on. But how do you begin again, when your heart is still in pieces?
Well the past couple of WoWs I've done they've had a bit of paranormal to them. Which I guess in a way this one does to, but look no special powers, vampires, werewolves. So I thought I'd try for something a little different. I haven't read to many ghost like stories (although I have quite a few on my shelf.) The synopsis drew me in, and I adore the cover it looks like she floating over a bridge, or maybe it's the pearly gates behind her. (only they're not so pearly looking)
So what do you think?
What's your pick for the week?
i picked this one a while back, but the cover was different :) looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love the cover for that, but I'm not a big fan of the plot. You literally die just because you're boyfriend tells you he's not in love with you...?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thanks for stopping by!

This book sounds really sad, but cute! I haven't read a lot of ghost stories either, but this one definitely sounds like its worth picking up. It'll be refreshing to read a paranormal book without all the vampires, werewolves, and witches (although I still love those books!)

ReplyDeleteThe cover for this is just so pretty! Really looking forward to this, I love the idea behind it and I'm curious to see how it will play out. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteHello new follower! Following back. I just loved the first line of the summary, but the cover doesn't do much for me. I suppose it's the writing in it that I should judge it by though, right?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
This one sounds good and I really like the cover. Great pick!
ReplyDeleteThis was my pick this week too! Like you, I do a lot of paranormal, so I'm trying to mix it up lately =)
ReplyDeleteI love the cover and the title. I'm not drawn to ghost stories though. I like flesh and blood people!
