This will be a short post for right now. Seeing as how I'm close to 500 followers I want to do a 500 follower giveaway, but I want to know what kind of books (or should I say which books) are y'all interested in? They can't be like brand new books because I don't have that kind of money.
If you follow me any then you know one of my favorite things to do is browse Half Price Books (mainly their YA section, but occasionally the PNR adult section) I'm not kidding I could spend a few hours just looking through their shelves...again and again and again. I always find great books (if you watch my IMM's you would see) I'm always coming across books that I already have that I think " I wonder if anyone else has this or if they would like it." I'm always seeing the Immortal series books by Alyson Noel, the vampire academy books, the House of night books, the uglies books, blue bloods series, and tons others (hush, hush occasionally, fallen, beautiful creatures, the summoning books.) My list could go on and on. So my question to everyone is what books should I be on the lookout for? I could make giveaway packs out of them for the 500 followers giveaway I want to do. I just never know what books to go ahead and get. (I'm gonna go today, and I'll see what I can find.)
Edit: Oct 9,2011:
Okay, so I wrote down some of y'alls recommendation, and I will probably get a few of those. Although I'm sure exactly what ones. I'll have to check on some reviews to see what more people liked. However, I did get a few to start my giveaway off when I hit 500. :) I'm still working on the details, but I think one prize pack will be of Anthologies. Another might be a paranormal pack, and another might be favorite reads of mine. :)
Here's a picture of what I have so far.
All of these I have on my shelf an with the exception of BGDD. I haven't read them.
Falling Under by Gwen Hayes
Bad girls don't die by Katie Alendar (I've read and reviewed and Loved)
The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney
Vacations From hell by Various Authors
Prom Nights from hell by Various Authors
Ahh Ash. What have we said about curtailing your book buying obsession ;) I don't really mind what books you buy. It's your giveaway after all!!
ReplyDeleteAny Meg Cabot/Sarah Dessen book is good. I know that I always see those on the shelves. I also see a lot of sort of new releases, to be honest! I just look through the shelves extremely carefully.
ReplyDeleteI agree with above, Sarah Dessen books are always good along with Deb Caletti and Elizabeth Scott, I would love a giveaway that included their books.
ReplyDeleteLan- :) I know, I know but technically they won't be for me. I'm just asking now, but it won't be til I have 500 followers.
ReplyDeleteSophia- yeah, those are always some that have multiples. Oh, I also see sorta new releases as well that's why I was asking. I know what I read and like to pick out, but I'm not to much of a contemporary reader so I would never have guessed the ones you mentioned.
Ya- Thanks for answering.
