November 15: Top Ten Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Have Been On My Shelf FOREVER

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created  at The Broke and the Bookish.

Occasionally I'll get the urge to make a list of whatever it is they're featuring that particular week, and if I think I can make it to ten then I'll use go for it.
This weeks list is "Top Ten Books That Have Been On My Shelf For The Longest But I've Never Read." I know for a fact that I can do this one. Hell, I could make a top 20 list, but I'll stick to ten. :) If I did this with exactly the books I have had on my shelf the longest none of them would be YA. This is because when I started reading I read (or tried to read more Mystery like Mary Higgins Clark)
So for this list I will do half and half. Half will be YA and the other well non-YA. :)

1.Mary, Mary
2. Angel's Flight- Michael Connelly
3.Dead Aim- Iris Johansen
4. Perfect Victim
5.Black Creek Crossing
Now these may not be the exact books I got first, but I know they've been on my shelf awhile. (Now they're actually packed away.) No room for them when I have my YA. I can't for the life of me remember the authors.

6. Wicked: Witch and Curse (What's sad is I started this one probably two years ago and got through the first part but never the second because I became to wrapped up in my VA series)

7. Betrayals (Book 2 in the Strange angel Series)by Lili St.Crow (Yeah, I read the first one, but never finished. I now have all of them so maybe I will finish them)

8.Nightshade (Book 3 in the Daughter of the moon series) by Lynne Ewing ( I have all 13 books I think of this series. Yeah I need to get reading.)

9.Blue Noon (Midnighters Series) by Scott Westerfield

10. Fade (Book 2 of the Dreamcatchers) by Lisa McMann (again I read the first book and I guess it didn't really stick with me so I never finished the series. I will eventually.)

  1. Oh, I loved the Wake series by Lisa McMann!! I really enjoyed her sparse writing, and the plot was not something I'd seen before (but that's probably just b/c I didn't start reading until later than most people. Especially book bloggers ;)). Anyway, I hope you have a good one,

  2. I haven't read any of the books you've got on your top ten list! How sad is that! I can imagine that people have so many book on their TBR that they haven't read in forever.

  4. Ninja- oh, there are tons of people who liked the series, and I'm not saying I didn't like it. It was just one of those books that was ok. I didn't really connect with Janie, and if I can't connect with the MC it's usually just alright. I did however like Cabel. I'm still interested though to see how it turns out.

Lan- It's not sad. I haven't read them either. :P

  5. I'm terrible for starting series, picking up the rest of the books and then forgetting about them. I've got stacks of series where I've only read the first one!

My top ten is here if you'd like a look :)

  7. I love the Wake series! I did find that as it went on, my enthusiasm for it faded a little, but I would still recommend it!
