Why I chose this?

This is one of those books that everyone seemed to love, and I have yet to even start it. It even has a spin off series that I own the first book to that as well. I also have been to a book signing of hers. I've done pretty much everything but read the books from Leigh Bardugo. I think sometime this year I will get on that.

I'm not going to lie I read the first book along time ago, and I can't for the life of me remember what happened so I might end up reading that before this one, but I do want to try and finish this series even if so many seemed to not enjoy it.

It's the 2nd book in the Strange Angels Series. I read the fist one back when I first started my blog, and for some reason I never got around to finishing the series. I'm not sure why because I have the whole series on my shelf. I enjoyed the first one (My review) so it seems only right to read the rest and I want to find out what happens to Dru.

Why I picked this?

It's been sitting on my shelf for some time, and when it first came out I knew it was one that I would read. The dsytopian genre fascinates me. Also I think I try and give hyped books a little time to cool off.

Why I chose it

When I first of it I knew I wanted to read it. I love ghost like stories, and a little bit of mystery.
Above all that I love the cover. It's one of my favorite covers of all time.

I actually started a new meme this week called Reverse Thursday.
Here is my intro page Reverse Thursday and here is my first post Reverse Thursday with the mr linky. I really hope it's something that people will like because I need that extra push to read an older book. :)

I also started a feature awhile back that I only did for a short time, but I really want to get back to doing it. It's called Are you a bookaholic? I thought they were pretty fun questions. Depending on how I do it again I might even add a $5 dollar gift card for the people that choose to do the feature. Who knows?

Another little feature I do is called Questions? Answered! 

You know when you find those interesting discussions and maybe you feel like writing a whole paragraph about it, or something well I turned that into something. Go take a look. (I do this sporadically)

Another feature I do sporadically is called "Books I'd quit support group for" which I haven't done one in awhile it's sort of a WOW, but not.

Here are a few little guidelines These are not 100% necessary, but it's something to guide you. :)

-Pick a past book you've been meaning to read and were excited about when it first came out
-Pick a book that's at least 2-3 years old if not older (Ex: Since it's 2015 pick a book 2013 and older)
- If you comment on the persons post let them know if you've read it or not, and if you reviewed it leave a link.
-If you haven't read it do you want to also? This is really about commenting more and mingling with fellow book lovers. Branching out on comments. I know I'm guilty of not leaving a meaningful comment, and I want to get better. :)
-When picking a book: you can explain why you wanted to read it to begin with, why you waited to read it. Talk about the cover, or whatever. lol. Make it fun. Reverse Thursday is all about showing our love for those older books that have been sitting on the back burner.

Keeping you posted: A monthly giveaway in the works and more

1. I've been thinking about how I can give back to my readers, and I realized I usually do one of the Kindle Deals monthly. I figure that I can do a small giveaway a month with the Kindle Deals post. I'll be making a post later with more detail 
2. Reverse Thursday- Is a meme I want to try and do here every Thursday where we highlight older books we want or want to read. It's sort of like a WOW in reverse. I'm not sure if there is something out in the bookish community like this, but yea? or no? I'll make a post about it Monday and then maybe actually give it a go on Thursday.
3. I have one review I need to get posted for Uninvited by Sophie Jordan
4. I'm almost through reading The Young Elites and I'm enjoying.
5. I'm not even half way through with The Murder Complex and wow I love it. It's pretty bloody already but good.
6. I've started a Wordpress Site: A Kindle by Any Other Name and it's dedicated to my kindles and the books on there and the sites used for E-readers like Edelweiss and Netgalley. It's a way for me to keep up with those books because so many times I forget.
