Follow Friday: It's all about the re-read

I'm not a big re-reader and I feel like there's so many books out there that I want to get to that re-reading gets in the way. -hangs head- There are VERY, very, very few books that I actually have re-read. For those that have been around awhile and read my site will know that Vampire Academy is my favorite book which means I'll re-read it ALWAYS. (come to think of it I need to get around to that this year) My goal this year though is to try and re-read books that I never got around to writing a review for and writing one after I read it again (my book I'm going to try and re-read this month is Legend by Marie Lu.) What makes re-reading better this year is that now goodreads has an option for it and it counts on your challenge. YEA!!!!

Also I want to re-read the Harry Potter books, and I haven't done that.

Follow Friday: The Big Red Dog with a big heart

Question of the Week: What is the first book you remember reading? - Suggested by

Bookish Findings

I really can't remember what books I first read, but I remember enjoying going into a bookstore, and sitting on the ground going through Clifford the big red dog books. I kind of wish I would have kept all of them.
Then as I grew I remember the American girls books especially Samantha.

Follow Friday: Pitch me that book.

Question of the Week: How would you pitch to the biz to make your favorite book into a movie? - Suggested byGirl of 1000 Wonders

I honestly don't think I would. They turned my fave book into a movie, and it didn't do to well. Although, I wasn't disappointed with it. I think it could have been so much better. It could also be that it was just first movie syndrome, and it was more info dump then necessary. Vampie Academy really does have that potential to be an awesome movie (maybe even tv mini series) if done right. Going the way of mean girls (it was the directors that directed Mean girls) just sucked the life (pun not intended) out of it.

Follow Friday: That which we call a rose by any other name

Question of the Week: How did you come up with your blog title and address? Does it have a special meaning for you? - Suggested by The Paperback Princess

Answer:

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Why did I choose Bookaholics Anonymous as the name?

Well like I said in one of my above post I had another blog for about 20 days and it was okay. However it just wasn't catchy enough for my taste. One day I remember talking to my Sis-in-law, and she mentioned how I should join a group for bookaholics. Then it hit me AA. There should be a group of people sitting around talking about their book addictions. I was in love <3.

Follow Friday: What would you spend it on?

Question of the Week:
Here is €/£/$100,000. Buy something. Anything at all! What would be the first thing you choose, and why? - Suggested by

Answer:
I think we all pretty much know what everyone probably will say....a library! We are book worms after all. :) I'm not any different I want a beautiful library, cozy chairs, maybe a bay window. I guess this could only happen if I had a house though which would be more money. So if I didn't have a house I would help my husband with his car, and let him rebuild it the way he wants. Slowly but surely he is.

Follow Friday: I don't go with the flow

Question of the Week: Have you ever read a book you thought you'd hate but loved? Or vice versa? - Suggested by

I'm going to go with a book I thought I'd love but hated.
I guess I just assumed I would love it because everyone else (and I mean everyone) loved it.
Any guesses as to what it was?

Follow Friday: BEA

Have you ever been to BEA? If not, what's stopping you? If you have, what was your best experience there? - Suggested by The Paperback Princess

Sadly, I haven't been to BEA. I think about going every year, but then I realize I don't have the money or anyone who I think would enjoy it. Plus, I'd get a little nervous going to New York. I keep thinking one of these years I'll say forget it and go because I have time I can take off (I never use vacation time it always is thrown in at the end of the year.) Not to mention it's close to my birthday which is April 4th, and I could totally use that as an excuse. Everyone always asks what I want for my birthday. What would be really awesome is if I could go next year since I'll be turning 30. That would make for an awesome 30. -note to self tells husband that's what I want for my 30th-

What about you?

Follow Friday: features I have

Question of the Week: Have you come up with any special memes or features on your blog that you'd like people to visit more? - Suggested byTake Me Away

I actually started a new meme this week called Reverse Thursday.
Here is my intro page Reverse Thursday and here is my first post Reverse Thursday with the mr linky. I really hope it's something that people will like because I need that extra push to read an older book. :)

I also started a feature awhile back that I only did for a short time, but I really want to get back to doing it. It's called Are you a bookaholic? I thought they were pretty fun questions. Depending on how I do it again I might even add a $5 dollar gift card for the people that choose to do the feature. Who knows?

Another little feature I do is called Questions? Answered!
You know when you find those interesting discussions and maybe you feel like writing a whole paragraph about it, or something well I turned that into something. Go take a look. (I do this sporadically)

Another feature I do sporadically is called "Books I'd quit support group for" which I haven't done one in awhile it's sort of a WOW, but not.

Follow Friday: Puppy Love

Question of the Week: Do you have any furry friends? Share a picture! - Suggested by Cornerfolds

I actually don't have any current pets -sad- but I did have three that I loved to death, and when I moved a few years back (and my life was crazy and I basically had no home) I had to get rid of my sweet cat, Hermione.

This was my sweet doxie Toby who passed away a few years back. Not a day goes by that I don't think about his cute face.

This was my beagle Shadow I had him before Toby and when I lived with my dad so when my dad remarried and sold our house Shadow went to live with my grandparents, and supposedly ran away. I have this feeling my grandparents took him to the humane society. Him running off was not likely.

Follow Friday (number something)

I actually haven't done this feature in quite awhile, but I figure this is a good question to start back on. :)

Your house is burning down and you have time to select three books you own to take with you. What three books?

How about I just take my kindle?
If I had to choose books then.......
This is a no brainer for me.
VAMPIRE ACADEMY, Shadow Kiss, and Last Sacrifice because I feel those are the 3 in the series that tell the story the best.

Follow Friday (4) Tv Shows and Hobbies

Question of the Week: What are your non-book guilty pleasures? Like TV shows, food, websites, hobbies, etc.

Tv Shows: OMG I have tons of shows I like watching even if I've seen it a hundred times. I'm pretty forgetful so it's like watching it all over again for me.  I even have a mental schedule for all the shows: The mornings (If I'm up early enough I watching Charmed for 2 hours, after that it's supernatural, and then Bones. Usually by the time I end up going to work. Then at nights it's different depending on the days: Criminal Minds, Law and Order SVU, Castle (the man is hott), Bar rescue (sunday), Bad girls club (Tuesday), then usually when I lay down for bed we have King of the hill, The Cleveland Brown Show, American Dad, and Family Guy playing through the night.
Hobbies: I think I've posted about this a few times, but I'm enjoying making wine glasses. I've done about 10 so far and a few of them I've taken inspiration from books. See pictures down below. I've thought about selling these. They are wine glasses, but honestly I use them for holding stuff on my desk.
L-R Cinder, Beautiful Creatures, Vampire academy, The Fault in our Stars
Cinder and TFiOS and beautiful creatures were sorta taken from the covers except the back of BC are the lyrics to the Sixteen Moons Song. Vampire Academy was more from one of the characters names: Rose. IF you look at the top right is a glass I made inspired by my header on my site. :)

Would ya'll be willing to see these as giveaways?

Follow Friday: Hobbies other than reading

Follow Friday (3)

Share! Tell us about one of your hobbies that is NOT reading.

So I really don't have many hobbies. I've tried different things to keep me occupied and it never really sticks. In the past couple of weeks though I've been thinking about make my own(ish) wine glasses (or decorating them) I even made my own website for it and I've thought about making an etsy shop.

I made a few glasses back in December and still have them, but I don't really know if anyone would be interested in something like this. Maybe, I just need more exposure for the site and what I want to do. I'm shamelessly going to plug it in here it's called WineRx.

Here's a picture

Let me know what you think, and possibly if you like link to the page. :)

MeMe: Follow Friday: First Time Again

If you could read a book for the “first time” again, which book would it be? Why?

This is such an obvious answer if you know me at all, or have been following my blog for the past 3 years. Vampire Academy will always be the book I wish i could experience again and again. For those who haven't read it, I kinda envy you. You get to see Rose and Dimitri for the first time, and see their chemistry  from page one. You get to read all the books after, and see the heartbreaks, friendships, and action take place for the first time. I don't think there will be another book, or series for that matter that will ever compare.

MeMe: Follow Friday: Book Spine Poetry

Time for Book Spine Poetry again! Take a picture of your book spines spelling out something epic.

This took me a bit of time to find what I liked and sounded right to me.
In my teen years I wrote a lot of poetry (most sucked), and I always had to have it sound just right
and rhyme so here is what I came up with....
"Through her eyes
Once,
Forgotten,
The hidden,
Deadly little lies."

Follow Friday (3)

Question of the Week: What were your favorite books of 2013?

I really enjoyed Never Fade. It was definitely just as good as it's first book, The Darkest Minds. It didn't have what sophomore books usually have which is the Second Book Syndrome. It held its own and brought in new characters that I loved just as much as the old ones.
