#BookBlogWriMo Day 13: Reviewing My Review Process

Review Process

Hi dear readers! Welcome to day 13 of the #BookBlogWriMo!

11/13 – Your Review Process - Do you write your review the second you finish the book? Months later? Take notes as you read?

I think my review process has changed so much and so many times over the past 4 years that I've been blogging that it's not even funny. I will say that I liked myself as a blogger better when I first started  because the reviews seemed to come easily. I hate myself now because I don't seem to get the reviews out like I use to, and it makes me feel like my blog suffers because of it.

I use to write my reviews the minute I finished reading a book (if I was at home) because everything was clear in my head and I knew what had happened, and everything. Yes, notes would help to remember I know, but if I look at notes my mind gets all kinds of frazzled, and then I'm back to square one with the review. Now the only notes I usually take are the quotes I like, or the ones I think show some potential for being slipped into a review and falling back on that to show why I liked the book.

I hate to say this but now it takes me a few weeks too write one review, and by then I'm already reading another book, and things run together. Like right now I still have Pawn and Captive by Aimee Carter, Viral Nation by Shaunta Grimes, The unhappening of genesis lee, and As long as you love me by Ann Aguirre to review.
