When did you start your blog? Why?

Actually if you look around on my site then you'll notice that I have a page dedicated entirely to the history of my site so if you want to take a look Bookaholics Anonymous: A history go there, but if not I can give you a bit.

I started the blog back in October of 2010. ( I know it's been 4 freakin years) I never thought it would be what it is now, and I have all of you to thank. :) THANK YOU! 

I started my blog because like so many others I just wanted a place to share my love of reading. My family isn't big into reading so I could blabber on about a book I was reading, but they wouldn't have a clue as to what I was talking about, and you could see their eyes just glaze over. #sadtimes That's when I found goodreads, and then another site that just this year or last quit. ( I was sad because she was one of those reasons I started.) My book blog was actually started on another site and name all together, but I switched over. (I think that is another topic though.)

It has definitely been time consuming, but I wouldn't trade these past 4 years for anything. I've been introduced to so many others who like to read (and those who have been through some life changes with me), I've been introduced to books before they were even out, I've gone to signings and met authors. It has been a roller coaster of pure enjoyment.

I hope I'll be around for another 4 years!
