MY THOUGHTS:
Omg!
First thought was I'm not gonna love this like I did If I Stay because there's no way to bring the same emotions out. I was wrong. Gayle Forman did an awesome job making me love this book as much as the first. I thought with it being told in Adams POV that it would be just okay. I was wrong again. I loved reading Adams point of view and the struggles that he faced being a rockstar. I know that anxious feeling that he got because sometimes I get that same way. (although I'm sure not for the same reasons) There's not much I can say without giving away what happened. So this is probably going to be extremely short. I think being able to understand Adams situation and his feelings helped me love the book. When we were able to see Mia I was happy as well because I loved her voice in If I Stay. Even though in this story she flipped out a few times it's totally understandable with what she's been through.
I will definitely read other things by Gayle Forman she has a beautiful way with words and she knows how to write emotions.
Overall:
If you loved If I Stay you'll love this one. Maybe not for the same reasons, but yeah.
I *STILL* haven't read If I Stay, but hear such AMAZING things! Now I'm dying to read it so I can read this! Fab review!
ReplyDeleteI definitely recommend reading both books they're awesome, and If I Stay is a little heart-wrenching
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to read this series for the longest time. I'm just worried that there wasn't a happy ending in the first one it seems :(
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely read them. :) Thats all.
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way when I first started this book, I wasn't sure how she was going to top "If I Stay". Boy was I wrong!! This was probably my favorite book released this year! It was even better than "If I Stay" I thought. I had originally borrowed it from the library because I thought it was just going to be one of those terrible sequels, but I loved it so much, that I ended up buying it afterwards so that I could read it again! :)
ReplyDeleteRb- I agree I think I liked it a little more than if I stay. I'm not sure exactly why though.
ReplyDeleteSigh. Just, sigh. This book fills me with all kinds of wonderful happy feelings. Gayle Forman is GENIUS!
ReplyDeleteI need to read the first one! it is good to hear they are both great! I own the first one I just haven't read it yet! awesome review!
