Write On: ACA project

UPDATED:10/6/14
I'm horrible when it comes to sitting down, and just writing. I have ideas, but my problem is putting those ideas into action. I can get as far as the outline for the story, and then everything else just comes to a stand still, I draw a blank. It sucks because I know if I can get pass this maybe it will become easier. These are stories I really believe in, and I want more than anything to finish them. Heck I'd even be happy if I could get half way.

Here is a little bit of what I started
It’s funny how when I was little I wanted to be anyone, but who I was, and now….well…… I wish I could just be me…night and day.

For someone who grew up an only child I find it difficult to share. I mean come on this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. Only children are notorious for being brats right? So the moment I lost my parents to a “drunk driver”, and I got thrust into the system I lost that only child status. I mean technically I was alone, and an only, but I had brothers and sisters in each home I was put into. I tried not to get attached, I tried to be neutral, I tried to be distant, and I tried a whole lot of other things that pissed off my fosters, and in the end it’s those qualities among others that molded me into this person I am today.

I’m Fia, short for well...we will get to that a bit later. Just know that everything has a reason in my life. Sometimes it’s not always straightforward because that’d just be too damn easy. Believe me when I say my life was anything but easy.  At age 5, I had lost my dad  to what the police were calling a drunk driver. Three years later I lost my mom to what the police called a home invasion gone wrong. How does a home invasion go wrong? Someone is invading your home! That in itself is wrong. It went from bad to worse when the intruders realized they weren't alone, and my mother tried to fight. Before stepping out to fight for our home mom told me two things. Two things that before now never made sense to me. Looking at me with those eyes that knew her time was up she whispered, "Fia if you remember anything that I tell you let it be these two things. 1. No one is really who they say they are, everyone lives other lives and 2. When you sleep you live."

Write on: Vision this...

Here's a little bit of what I've been trying to work on. Sadly, I haven't done much on it.
Outline:
Kaelyn always knew she was different from the first “vision” she had of a bird hitting a 18 wheeler truck at age two while she pointed out the car window saying SPLAT to that day 5 years ago (her birthday) when she arrived to find police officers in her home, and her dad on the couch crying for the first time in her life.

She maybe able to see the future, to see people’s fates, but sometimes that’s not a good thing, and while knowing a persons fate is easy, it’s forgetting that fate that’s truly hard.

“If I knew that it would turn out to be the “happily ever after” ending it wouldn’t be as bad, but knowing they never stand a chance well it pretty much sucks. Still, I want to save them, I believe I can save them, I have to save them. I can’t really explain why I see what I see. but I’m willing to learn.”

She can’t turn it on and off, and soon she’ll learn that she REALLY can’t save them.
Question is how far is she willing to go and how much is she willing to lose before everything seemingly turns out alright…if in fact it does at all.

NaNoWriMo: This is gonna be nuts!

NaNoWriMo that sounds odd! What is it? An illness? An extinct bird? A made up word? In answer to all those questions. Nope, it is the abbreviation for National Novel Writing Month which begins in November and lasts all month long. It challenges you as a writer to write a 50,000 word count novel in one month. Crazy right? That's okay writers often thrive on crazy. (or so I've heard)

This is going to be my starting point post. If I'm lucky and I make myself write instead of well everything else I usually do I might actually have a story. I originally heard about NaNo last year before it began, and thought "Hey I'm always writing (or trying to write) stories, and they never get anywhere so maybe doing that would help. Well needless to say I failed completely I didn't even get 1000 words. I think it's because it was still sort of new, and I didn't have anyone to encourage me. This year will hopefully be different as I have a few people who I can turn to, and maybe as the month progresses others. I also decided to try again this year because I told Lan I would. Oh, I also want to be able to say I've written a story..no a book. It might not be any good, and it might not make any sense what so ever, but that's what going back over it and revising it is for. I just want this story to be real. Well real as in on screen and not in my head. This story line and these characters have been in my head and in my notebook for a verrrryyyy long time. They've changed as I've grown a fondness for weird character names, but the characters themselves haven't.

This is a complete and totally random post I realize, but I just thought I'd let those of you who follow me, and are participating in this know that I am as well so if you want to add me my user name is AngelicNytmare.

GOOD LUCK!

Write on: That was me..before I knew.

I'm sure ya'll are use to seeing odd things from me by now so this shouldn't be a surprise. :)
This is kind of a character outline for...well...I'm not really sure. At one point I was going to use her in a story my friend and I started, but like all the others the story changed to another story so I'm left with Poor Delilah. I'm sure I'll find a spot for her somewhere. If we ever decide to go back to this particular storyline, or in another who knows.

Works in Progress

I've noticed that a lot of bloggers/reviewers/book lovers are authors or aspiring authors while some admit it others may not. Actually, I have been writing a lot longer than reading. In middle school I wrote poetry as a way to cope with my family issues, to keep from doing things that might hurt me, and probably other reasons I can't think of now. My point is I wrote. Was it any good? Probably not. I think back now and I probably started one story in 8th grade that I still have to this day. I should really get to work on that. I think my passion for writing grew after I started writing with a friend back in 10th grade.

These will be that stories that I'm procrastinating working on. Bits and pieces of them. When or if I finish the story or should I say book. I'll post here.

Write on (Emberlyn's Prologue)

I don't have any creative juices flowing right now, and my eyes are hurting. (I think I have sensitivity to bright light. I've been having problems lately with my eyes. Freaking weird. Everything gets blurry and bright. I know that it doesn't make sense and I have the hardest time explaining it to people. Not the point.)
Here is a little bit from Emberlyn Ray. I think she's by far my favorite, and maybe her sister too. At this point in time this is all I have written about her. I need to work on her. she'll probably be next after i can finish with her sisters part.

Live's Dream (My writing)

Ok this by all means is nowhere, and I mean nowhere near perfect. I'm not by any means a punctuationist (I suck at punctuation thingies) This is actually something that's been sitting in a notebook of mine (along with other writings that are like 1/10th of a way done) Since I don't have bookish things to write tonight that I know of besides my reviews I keep saying I'm gonna do. I figured WTH I might as well get some kind of use out of my 1/10th done story right?  With that being said I give to you the prologue like thing to a story "Live's Dream" in raw form.
----------------------------------------------------------
I was to the point where I wanted to scream, make a run for it, get the hell away from whatever this dark- shadowed figure was forming right in front of me. The only problem was I couldn’t move I was more or less stuck in place. I mean, my whole body was telling me to go…leave… that whatever this thing was, well it wasn’t good. My mind and oddly enough my heart were telling me just the opposite. Even though this thing looked like hell rising it wasn’t here to scare me or do anything remotely dangerous to me. That was like me to think that it was harmless. I’m a complete dumbass, I know and I just stood there and watched.

Out of my peripheral vision I could see buildings. Okay, those definitely weren’t there a second ago. As the shadow started taking on a solid form the background behind it became clearer too. I tried to focus every ounce of my mind on what was behind. A big building, double doors, a sign above with writing. What did the writing say? Damn it to hell I can’t read it. My eyes just aren’t adjusting like they should, and instead of me focusing on the half materialized person in front I continue to stare at the doors. Why? I honestly can’t say. It’s just they’re so mesmerizing. It’s at that moment the thing leaps towards me, but to my surprise and horror I’m ripped away from it.

I open my eyes only to find I’m standing in a long aisle. I begin to follow the thick plushy red carpet to the front of the..well I’m not sure yet. As I approach the front of the building it appears to have an altar lit with candles, a grand organ, and a row of benches. My eyes travel upwards and land on the most beautiful, most vibrant, most colorful (I could probably use most a few more times, but I’ll spare you) stained glass window ever. Intertwined in it are two people who look vaguely familiar, but not so much. Hum does that even make sense?

Still in somewhat of a daze, I scan the area around me more closely now. Then I realize I’m in a church. Of all the places in the world. How did I end up in a church when I clearly was just… Well I don’t know where I was before this. My thoughts now jumping from one thing to another. I then look back up at the glass. I notice now how different the two people in it are. How if you look at it one way you see peace, calmness in the world. It’s light, and strong yet innocent and pure. Then if you look at it with a slightly different angle you see the destruction, the chaos among people, the darkness, the empty void, guilty pleasure, and of course sins. I stare amazed at how much this one window can say.

Finally I decide that I’m not going anywhere soon so I sit down in the first pew. I lean up against the stained hard wood backing, and push the interracially-woven red cushions with my hands. Comfy! I again glance around the church to take in more of it. The high-balanced roof that comes to a point above the glass. The way the roof itself seems to be painted like the heavens, blue skies with white cotton like clouds and every once in awhile I catch a glimpse of a rainbow shining between the clouds. Then there’s the chandeliers that blend in well making it look like the light is just floating in a vast of nothingness.

Why is that when we dream, everything always seems perfect? I mean this all…. it’s just a very vivid, complex dream as far as I’m concerned.

I start to close my eyes to see if maybe I can wake myself up, and that’s when I hear it. My name. Someone is saying my name.

A woman’s voice sweet and melodically it’s as if she’s almost singing it, but what frightens me the most about the voice is I know it. In the deepest part of my mind I’ve always known it.
-----------------------------------------------------
Okay tell me what you think? It's alright to be honest like I said I know it sucks. :)
