Book Blogger Hop (2) Do you take notes about the book you read?

It has been a long time since I have done one of these, but I really want to get back into posting on my site. What better way than a hop.

What is the book blogger hop?
The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer's permission, Coffee Adddicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop's purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog.

Question
Do you take notes about the book you are reading as you read? (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)

I usually take notes if something really hits home with me, or if it's a book I just love to pieces.
I use to take notes actually inside of my books like full on drawing a line with a pencil under the parts I like. Others I would write in a small notebook I had for that particular book. My Kindle you can just highlight parts that you like. Now I have found stickys that I'll stick next to the side of the quote of something I like if that makes any sense.

This is how I take notes now.

Betrayed
St. Martin’s Griffin-Challenged in the North Star Borough School
District, Fairbanks, Alaska high school libraries (2011) because, “It simply causes kids to think even more of things sexual.” The teenage vampire novel is part two of the “House of Night”
( I have this love/hate relationship with this series. The first few books I loved, but soon it started to turn into a more soap opera feel. Don't get me wrong Read the first for books.)

Myracle, Lauren

Amulet Books-Retained in the Ponus Ridge Middle School library in Norwalk, Conn. (2010). While some critics decry its style as “grammatically incorrect,” most who take exception point to its “foul language,” sexual content, and questionable sexual behavior. It is
the first book written entirely in the format of instant messaging — the title itself is a shorthand reference to “talk to you later.”

What book that hasn't been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?
Okay, this is just ridiculous. I think from here on out I just won't read the question and answer Vampire academy. :) It seems to work everytime. i don't really have a set cast in mind I would just be super freakin, fan-girly excited to see it be a movie (even though it might be ruined) I'm totally still game. A few others I think my make for an interesting movie are Enclave by Ann Aguirre, The Gallagher Girl Series by Ally Carter. What's not to love about spies? I know there are probably more, but I can't think.

If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?
Okay, if you've read any of my blog, or know me then you would have to know the answer to this question! Anyone? Vampire Academy....duh!  I ab-so-lute-ly love the VA series and everything about it. I know it's ended, but still who wouldn't want to be in a world with Rose, Lissa, Dimitri, Adrian, and Christian.

Q. Inspired by the inane twitter trend of #100factsaboutme, give us five BOOK RELATED silly facts about you.

Hosted by Parajunkee
Five silly book facts huh?
1. I'm a bath tub reader. I've come very close to losing my darling books to the dreadful water. I always save them in the end though. :) You would think I'd learn by now.
2. If I find a book I already have that has a different cover I don't I usually get it.  Like last week I found the Uk cover of the Hunger Games, and got it.
3.I have a different ways of arranging my books. Now I have one shelf paperback the next hardback and so on..Flip flopping from paperback to hardback.
4. If it has a pretty cover the more interesting it becomes for me. It's the little things that fascinate me really.
5.No matter what I think Paranormal Ya will always be my number 1. I  try reading other things, but I always go back to the paranorm. :)

Who's your all-time favorite book villain?
I haven't read tons of books to have an all-time favorite villian, but I do think Kalona and Neferet from the HoN series are pretty close to my faves. As much as I want to hate them I don't think I really can. Okay well maybe Neferet, but Kalona a Fallen Angel not so much. :) I'm telling you this is by far the most drama filled I've read. It would make quite an interesting Tv series. Day time show....Paranormal Drama. :) Sorry a little off topic I know.

What book(s) would you like to see turned into a movie?
Hum this is a good question of course if you know me at all :) then there's one book or series I should say that I'm dying to see turned movie. I think it's on its way, but still Vampire Academy. Also after I finished reading Nevermore that seems like it would be an interesting movie. The House of Night (although that might be a more interesting tv series what with the drama and all) Honestly I think it would be cool to see any of our YA books turned movies, and with the way things look alot of them are on their way to that. The Mortal Instruments, The Hunger Games, Firelight (there was talk), 13 Reasons Why (which I haven't read, but I do have it to read now), The Dream Catcher Series

If you are a fan of Science Fiction what is your favorite book? If you haven't read Science Fiction before...any inkling to? Anything catch your eye?
I haven't read in science fiction that I know of. I'm bad with knowing what genre a book is in. Whoops. I'm always up for trying something different though. I know my sister in law is more into that genre then me. Maybe I should ask her. :) Or perhaps you guys could help me. What's something that might catch my attention?

Hum I didn't do any kind of reviews, but here are two things.

My bookshelf tour 1: I had this suggestion from a friend on here, and I thought it was a cool idea so I did a little Vlog of my shelves. :)

Overview: Reviews and Upcoming Interview: This is pretty much what it says an overview of what I've been thinking, and what I plan on doing next week. Which means you should come back because it just might be worth it. :)

What is your favorite romance hero-type? Stereotype wise. Do you like the strong silent type or the brute macho man?

I'm Definitely going to have to say the strong, silent type. :) This may be due to the fact that I just finished Nevermore, and loved Varen to pieces. I like the mysterious-ness of the guys. I'm sorry  but the whole macho what not is not my cup of tea. They seem more like the type to be abusive, and WAY overprotective like Ren from Nightshade. I know in the end it would probably be better to have a strong macho guy around if your in trouble, but what if they cause the trouble? I just started Never Cry Werewolf, and I'm liking Austin already. He seems like he fits the silent persona for now anyways. (I'm only like 70 pages into the book...mind you)

"Why do you read the genre that you do?  What draws you to it?""Why do you read the genre that you do?  What draws you to it?"
I usually read paranormal books like Vampires, witches, and other PNs. I have to say I didn't start off reading those kind though. When I first started buying my books I leaned more toward the Mystery/thrillers from authors like Mary Higgins Clark, Stephen King because let's face it tryin to figure out the who dun it? is part of the fun of reading the books. Then once I read the twilight books thats when my fascination with all things paranormal came about. I love being able to escape to worlds that aren't real, and to fall into a characters life, and pretend for a bit that maybe somewhere in the world there are these type things going on. (even though I know there aren't) I'm trying to get myself out of reading just one genre though. Now I'm trying the contemporary stuff, and so far I like the ones I've read. Knowing that somewhere out there this has probably happened to someone, and to be able to get inside those characters heads to know the feeling it's refreshing. (even if it isn't something that's fun for the character)

What makes up your non-human family??Below are the ones that make up my family. Although my Doxie recently passed away. My post of that here (I love you Toby.) I had him almost 5 years I would say. He meant the world to me. Hermione my kitty I got from a co-worker I've had her almost 7 years. (I didn't name her, and I rarely call her by it, but I love it just the same)

Question to come!

"What is your favorite book cover?"

OMG! I have seen quite a few Book covers I like recently. The 3 above are the ones I love though.
The first cover is Hereafter by Tara Hudson it comes out June 7,2011 I love this cover I love the way the girl starts off whole and fades, and the whole water. Beautiful! Then I picked Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins because I think it fits well with Hex Halls cover, which is the first book, they kind of contrast each other (Is that right) due Feb 15,2011. The last one is Shimmer by Alyson Noel it's the second book in the Radiance series(Riley Bloom Series) due Mar 15,2011 I liked this one because the colors are beautiful in it. Sorry i couldn't pick just one!

Blog Hop question:

"Since Thanksgiving is coming up next week, let's use this week's Hop to share what we are most thankful for and what our holiday traditions are!"

I'm thankful for being able to have a good job, a roof over my head, and family that loves and would do anything for me. I know it may seem kind of obvious, but with the way our economy is and I see how it affects people (family and customers that come to my store) I'm thankful for knowing that I will more than likely always have a job. I get to make people feel better too by giving them the meds. (I'm a Pharmacy Tech).
Also, I said my apartment that should go without saying why I'm thankful for that. :)
Then my family without them I don't know where I would be. They have done so much for me over the years it's so great. My mom helping me pay some bills even when she didn't have the money herself, my grandpa for paying off my car so that I would have one. My brother and his family for being there when I needed someone to talk too.

Holiday traditions when I was younger we would always go over my grandparents house for lunch, watch our "lovely Cowboys" play and my uncles, cousins, and I would go out in the streets and play our own football for awhile this was our thanksgiving. Christmas was different we'd go over granparents and eat dinner, have santa come and bring the grandkids gifts (he wasn't a family member either. I think maybe a next door neighbor is what we all always thought. We never did find out) Then we would go to church and hour then go back and open our gifts there. The past for years it hasn't been that way so much.

How long have you been book blogging??

I started at the end of Septemeber. So I haven't been doing it very long, but I've already met some really nice people. :)  It would be cool to meet people in the Texas area. Preferably Ft worth, but anywhere in Texas is cool. :) Even outta states are cool.

Leave me a line and drop by and say hi too.
FYI: I loved the Harry Potter movie.

Follow Friday Question:
Who are your favorite authors??
-Humm I haven't read like a whole bunch like some people, but I do like Mary Higgins Clark (her books got me inmore interested in reading), Richelle Mead (her vampire academy series def sparked my YA fascination), Maggie S. (I'm not gonna attempt her last name), Alyson Noel, and I know there's probably a whole bunch of others. I'm sorry I have a bad memory, or maybe it's more of a selective memory.
Those are a few of mine though. :)

Book blogger hop Question-
"What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?"
I think personally it doesn't affect me. If they like the blog enough they'll stick around and comment. You don't have to comment everytime and every little thing, but like said a few comments don't hurt. It's nice to know that all the work we put into our blogs are actually being read by our fellow bloggers. I haven't ever stopped following a blog because you never when you might want to pop in. I'll go through and read them, and I may not comment, but it doesn't mean I don't read them. :)

That's my story and I'm sticking to it :)

I really love this smile face thing lately :)

Leave me a line. I'll respond back in some way.
