Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

I would definitely have to say Autobiographies/memoirs. I don't really care to read about your day to day life or what happened in your life. I read to escape my life and the real world not to jump into someone else's real world. I think the only book like this I've read was A child called it, and I only read that because it was for a book club.
Sorry I've been absent lately. I haven't read much so I don't have to much to say. I'm close to finishing Wither so I'm going to try and get that review up as soon as I can. Then try to finish reading Mara Dyer and Scorpio Races.

Book Review: A Touch Morbid by Leah Clifford

AUTHOR: Leah Clifford
PUBLISHER: Greenwillow
PAGES: 208
SERIES/STAND ALONE: Series (Book 2)
SOURCE: Me, Myshelf an I book tour
PUBLICATION:
February 28th 2012

OUTLINE:
Eden won the battle-she saved her true love from the darkest evil. But the war has only just begun. With secrets swirling around her, powerful allies unraveling, and life-and death-as she knows it eroding, Eden and those she loves tread dangerous ground. Can she trust anyone? Will her unearthly powers be her salvation or her downfall?

MY THOUGHTS:
I finally finished this after a week of trying to read it. This has absolutely nothing to do with the book itself. Actually, I loved this book more then I did,  A Touch Mortal, it's first book. I'm not sure if it's because it kept me interested in what was going on or what. I think it was because I was more aware of how their worlds worked and who was who and what was what if that makes any sense at all. I had a hard time following the first one, but that's for another review that I never got to (which I will because I'm thinking of re-reading it.)

I think the reason I enjoyed this one a bit more was because of the pacing, and by that I mean not everything happened at once. It didn't feel rushed. We didn't know to much about one character, and we would get a glimpse of what was happening with character B but not the full on. (Sorry I'm trying not ruin the first book for those who haven't read it) we got to see more of the fallen and the bound.

As for the characters themselves I liked a few of them and then some I didn't care to much for. I liked the new character Sullivan more then the older characters. I'm trying so hard not to mention the characters because in my opinion it gives away some of book one. I will say that I don't particularly care for Eden she seems a little stuck up, and thinking she better then everyone else.

Waiting on Wed: Starters by Lissa Price

Starters by Lissa Price
Expected publication:
March 13th 2012 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers

HER WORLD IS CHANGED FOREVER

Callie lost her parents when the Spore Wars wiped out everyone between the ages of twenty and sixty. She and her little brother, Tyler, go on the run, living as squatters with their friend Michael and fighting off renegades who would kill them for a cookie. Callie's only hope is Prime Destinations, a disturbing place in Beverly Hills run by a mysterious figure known as the Old Man.

He hires teens to rent their bodies to Enders—seniors who want to be young again. Callie, desperate for the money that will keep her, Tyler, and Michael alive, agrees to be a donor. But the neurochip they place in Callie's head malfunctions and she wakes up in the life of her renter, living in her mansion, driving her cars, and going out with a senator's grandson. It feels almost like a fairy tale, until Callie discovers that her renter intends to do more than party—and that Prime Destinations' plans are more evil than Callie could ever have imagined. . .

I was doing my normal going through 2012 books on goodreads, and this one popped out at me. One is the cover is so simple yet I don't know it's interesting. I love the bright blue eyes. It almost has the same feel as Wither. (I think... I'm reading wither right now, and from what I can tell it's seems to have some similarities. No?) Still it sounds interesting .

Book Trailer: Tempest by Julie Cross

The year is 2009.  Nineteen-year-old Jackson Meyer is a normal guy… he’s in college, has a girlfriend… and he can travel back through time. But it’s not like the movies – nothing changes in the present after his jumps, there’s no space-time continuum issues or broken flux capacitors – it’s just harmless fun.

That is… until the day strangers burst in on Jackson and his girlfriend, Holly, and during a struggle with Jackson, Holly is fatally shot. In his panic, Jackson jumps back two years to 2007, but this is not like his previous time jumps. Now he’s stuck in 2007 and can’t get back to the future.

Desperate to somehow return to 2009 to save Holly but unable to return to his rightful year, Jackson settles into 2007 and learns what he can about his abilities.

But it’s not long before the people who shot Holly in 2009 come looking for Jackson in the past, and these “Enemies of Time” will stop at nothing to recruit this powerful young time-traveler.  Recruit… or kill him.

Piecing together the clues about his father, the Enemies of Time, and himself, Jackson must decide how far he’s willing to go to save Holly… and possibly the entire world.

I don't have favorites really I have a few that I'll listen to over and over again. :) They're not so much new as they are older bands, but I love them all the same.

Nickelback- I will forever love the songs Far away and If everyone cared.
Breaking Benjamin- I pretty much love the whole Dear agony Cd
Chevelle- the song The Red was the first song I heard when I was with my BF in his car so yeah.
Sick Puppies- The song Maybe. I will always love this song. Whenever something bad happens to me this is the song I listen to.
I'm sure there are tons others but I can't think of them now.

Sorry I promise I haven't forgotten

To my winners:
I'm sorry I haven't been able to send out anything yet. I've been busy with work and other things, but I promise I haven't forgotten and I will get to it this week.

I actually haven't done much of anything to my site either. I think I'm kind of in a rut. I have a few books I'm reading, but none are pulling me out of my funk.
