Follow Friday (59)

Q: Which book genre do you avoid at all costs and why?

I would definitely have to say Autobiographies/memoirs. I don't really care to read about your day to day life or what happened in your life. I read to escape my life and the real world not to jump into someone else's real world. I think the only book like this I've read was A child called it, and I only read that because it was for a book club.
Sorry I've been absent lately. I haven't read much so I don't have to much to say. I'm close to finishing Wither so I'm going to try and get that review up as soon as I can. Then try to finish reading Mara Dyer and Scorpio Races.

  1. yeah those aren't really interesting, not to mention they're really slow too. not good action or anything. I'd only read one if I was really interested in that person's life.

  2. I agree on that. Those books simply want to make me cry because they are just so boring in general! Have a happy Friday! My FF!

  4. Yeah, autobios and memoirs aren't quite my thing either, though I can't say I avoid them at all costs.

  5. Yeah I'm not keen on autobiographies either. Unless it's someone really interesting. I'll be you've been heaps bust with other things :)

  6. I agree with your reasonings on autobiographies and memoirs. They don't do it for me. I have read A Child Called It though and enjoyed that book. Maybe I need to try picking up a few more to really be sure.

  9. Hi! I'm a new follower!!! I can't wait to read more on your blog!!!! :)

I agree about autobiographies. I think that's why I love fiction so much: being able to jump into someone else's made up world! :)
