Hey my fellow reader/bloggers/who ever else reads this!
What's up with everyone? I know I've been kind of..well not doing much on my site here, but first off the internet I was using I can no longer use at my house. I'm kind of limited to whenever I come over my moms to use hers. On the upside to that I have more time to read and one book at a time my TBR list goes down. Not that it really makes much of a difference seeing as how I buy more books on top of what I have. So technically the TBR pile isn't going anywhere. On the downside to being able to read more is I get behind with my reviews. (which I really, really need to work on) I feel like a broken record, but I'm slowly but surely writing some. To give you an idea on how behind I am on my reviews. (It's horrible)
My list of books I've read but the reviews and such are still drafts in blogger.
1. The Candidates by Inara Scott (Good book)
2. Haven by Krisit Cook (good book, but I think I expected more from it)
3. Only the good spy young by Ally Carter (loved... then again I love the series)
4. Don't judge a girl by her cover by Ally Carter (I so wanna be a spy and go to that school)
5. Cross my heart and hope to spy by Ally Carter
6. A Touch Mortal by Leah Clifford (I had mixed feelings about this one)
7. Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare (awesome prequel-ness to the mortal instrument books)
8. Sean Griswolds head by Lindsey Leavitt (very touching, but sarcastic book)
9. Starcrossed: Perigree by Tracey Campbell (although I haven't actually finished this one I'm half way through so I'll count it)
So yeah see I'm behind here.
I also haven't done to much because I've been in an anxious mood for the past week or two. I'm not sure why. I don't have anything to be anxious about. It's just one minute I'm fine then the next my hearts racing, my hands are shaking, and kinda numb. Then again anxiety runs in my family so I should be use to it.
Oh, I went to see Pirates 4 Thursday night good movie although I don't think it was my favorite. I missed the original characters Elizabeth Swan and William Turner. I think the first one is still my favorite. I will forever and always love Cpt. Jack Sparrow. <3
I might as well just give my money to HPB and other bookstores. That's who gets at least a third of my check weekly. Is that bad? I kid you not I went to HPB today. Yes, I know if I just wouldn't go it wouldn't be a problem. I can't turn it down though I wouldn't be me if I did that. SO I went there today and I got some really good books (and movies). I enjoy going there to because the people that shop there are so friendly and talk books with you sometimes. I was browsing in the YA section (of course) and was pulling out The Dark and Hollow Places by Carrie when a lady was like that is an awesome book. Have you read the others. I told I hadn't but that I have them on my shelf. The a few minutes later we were looking through the W's and Scott westerfields The Uglies books were there, and she asked me if I had read those. I told her no, but I have them as well on my shelf to read. She said it's also a good series. Then she talked about the midnighters by him and also the peeps. (all of them by the way I have)
AHHHHHHHHH. Yes, I totally just cyber screamed if you didn't know what that was. I'm gonna be going to this tomorrow with my sister in law. :) I'm freakin excited as hell. Sad part is I had no clue about it until my friend in GA asked me if I was going. Crazy right? So if I'm able to get some stuff I will be sending it to you girl. (Maybe if I feel nice :) I'll try and get some for others and send it out with r.a.ks that I send to people. In all seriousness though I really am excited I never, ever get to go to anything around here so when she told me it would be in Dallas (well Hurst to be exact which is better because it's closer) I knew I was going even if I had to drag my not-so-willing mother with me. Yeah she called my sis in law and was like go with her. :) So I'll shall be back with an update on this event and pictures hopefully tomorrow or Monday.
Thanks for taking a little a bit of your time to read this. I hope I didn't bore you to bad.
Happy Reading and Blogging
Hey Ash,
ReplyDeleteSince you are enjoying your Kindle so much, I'm curious are you buying many e-books?
If you are getting a collection anything like your physical book collection maybe you should check out ebookfling.com a place where you can borrow AND loan E-BOOKS!
I've been participating on the site since its debut. I've loaned quite a few book and have 20 credits. Each book "costs" on credit to borrow and you earn one credit for each book you loan.
All you have to do to get started is create an account and start listing your books. I think you may save yourself some money if you take part. :-)
Ashley, I hope you have a great time a Chills and Thrills! Glad you found out about it in time! :)
