PAGES: 262
PUBLISHER: Harper Teen

OUTLINE:
Truly, Madly, Undead-ly

This irresistible collection features stories of love amid vampires by five of today's hottest authors—Kristin Cast (Tempted), Richelle Mead (Vampire Academy), Alyson Noël (Evermore), Kelley Armstrong (The Summoning), and Francesca Lia Block (Pretty Dead).

From a fugitive vampire forced to trust a boy who might work for the group bent on destroying her to the legendary romance of two immortals whose love compels them to risk everything, this heart-pounding collection brings new meaning to the words "love you forever." Whether you're into romances that are dark and moody or light and fun, these stories will quench that insatiable thirst for enchanting tales of the beautiful undead.

MY THOUGHTS:
I have to admit I really only bought this because I wanted to read Richelle Meads short story of Lissa's parents (if you don't know who those characters are, Lissa is a character from the Vampire Academy series.)

Richelle Mead's "Sunshine" Like I said I was interested in Lissa's parents story only because in the Vampire Academy Series the'yre dead (this isn't a spoiler it says in another book)(car accident) I had to admit I liked finding out about them. It tells how Eric Dragomir met Rhea Daniels on a ship, and what happens to them when they reach an island. Even though they both are in relationships. They're drawn to each other. I'm thrilled to know she's making a spin off with some of the other characters from the book. :)

Alyson Noel's "Bring me to life." It made me wonder what the hell was going on at the begining, but then you kinda start to understand what's happening at this school.  Apparently she's the only one that arrives at this "Art Academy" and the other characters keep telling her the other students will arrive later, but the fog is so thick that they have to wait. Then Danika (love the name) meets Bram oh the mysterious Bram. I liked the characters too so that helped it out. Yeah so you'll have to read it to learn more in depth about it.

Kelley Armstrong's "Hunting Kat" I liked the spin on vampires, and how they can be altered I guess you could say. It's hard to explain it. Just different and I like that. Three cheers! Good Characters.

Kristin Cast's "Above" I'm sorry but I could not for the life of me figure out what the hell it was about. I mean I did at the end almost, but it took me abit. I actually stopped reading the book because I didn't feel like reading that story, but I eventually did finish because I thought it would make sense later. It didn't I was so f'in confused with who the characters were and what they were doing. I expected it to be better (I liked the HoN series) So my expectations were high.
Yeah.

Then there was "Lilith" by Francesca Lia Block. It wasn't that I hated this story really it was just weird for me. Maybe, I'm just stupid but I din't get the storyline or whatever. I like the name though. :)

(Yes, 3 stars because I liked 3 of the stories. )

  1. I can't comment until I read the book! I don't read about a book until after I've read it. I'm strictly no spoilers. Haha.

  4. TOTALLY agree with your thoughts on Above. I did not understand what it was about, not one bit. :/ Good for you though, you understood it! :) Kisses from Hell wasn't the best book in the series- Vacations from Hell is much nicer. :)

  5. I just reread this a few months back, because I went to a Richelle Mead signing. I have to agree with you about only liking three of the stories. Even after rereading Above, I still had no idea what it was about. So I am glad that you only *sort of* understood it.

I have to agree with Jen R. and say that this is definitely one of my least favorites of this "series."

    1. Really, I'll have to give the other books a try. I have all them on my shelf, but just never got around to reading them.
