Book Signing: Dumplin' Launch Party and Giveaway
(Not my photo)
I love going to book signings, and even though I don't completely interact with anyone there I still find it fun. On the 14th of this month I was able to go to the Launch Party for Julie Murphy's new book Dumplin', and it was glamorous. :) They had a few different things to do. You could take your picture with a cutout of Willowdean. (I didn't.) You were able to make a sash like beauty contestants wear, and then there were cupcakes and a table full of red delicious candy. (My mom made me make her a bag of candy.) All of this was happening before the author sat down to take a few question because they had forgotten (I guess) to make time for Q&A. I'm really bad with remembering what questions were asked and the answers, but it was fab. :) Julie seems like a very down to earth, sweet, and fun person. She was walking around talking to people.
In the pictures below you will see a guy dressed up that is Julie's Husband who came out wearing the dress singing Jolene by Dolly Parton. It was awesome..
Keep scrolling to see some fun pictures of the night, and what I got while I was there. Then a giveaway at the end.

Book Signing: Irving Library with Shanna Swendson and 2 others
It was my luck that while I was browsing through another Texas Bloggers site that I came upon a signing happening at the Irving Library yesterday (Thurdsday). I kept debating with myself whether or not I wanted to go. The authors that would be there were Shanna Swendson, Rachel Caine (which I had been to a signing of her a few years ago), and P.N Elrod (who I never heard of)
It was definitely a fun time.

Chills and Thrills Tour (My little recap)
May 22, 2011
Hurst, Texas
Hurst, Texas
Alright, I actually got to go to this tour. You can not imagine how excited I was seeing as how I never get to go to any because there are rarely any near me. There were four authors Tera Lynn childs (Forgive my fins), Tracy Deebs (Tempest Rising), Jennifer archer (Through Her Eyes),and Lara Chapman (Flawless) who were there. I only to meet the first 3, but I was still glad. There weren't very many people there so I din't have to wait to long, and I even got a picture with them. YEA! They talked about their books and answered some questions. Although we weren't a very talkative group. We asked some question..they asked us question. FUN! After that we were able to get them to sign some books, and I even got up the courage to ask them a few question while they were signing. I asked Tera L Childs and Tracy Deebs what they thought about the whole e-reader thing, and they were nice enough to tell me what they thought and told me some other things. I was shocked to learn they make a little more from e-books. I asked what they thought about bloggers and they told me. I even recommended a book to Tracy Deebs. I thought that was pretty cool.
So all in all it was an awesome signing. I didn't take to many pictures, but below are a few. Also they had some bookmarks and things so I got a few extra to send to people. It might be for a future giveaway.(which I need to have), or I might send them out in future R.a.ks.
