2. A weird habit
I have to eat with the light on, and by this I mean if we're sitting in bed eating dinner or something I can't just have light from the tv. I have to have full on light. I have to see what I'm eating.

3. A weird phobia
I don't think it's a phobia, but I can't stand cockroaches. Any other bugs I can deal with, but I can't deal with roaches. I'll make someone else kill them. I won't get near them.

Even this picture makes me cringe.

4. A song you are ashamed to like so you blast it in private
Probably any of the boy bands from the 90's BSB or Nsync. I still like certain songs.
Disney channel movies the songs that are usually on those.


5. A pet peeve
I could write a novella with my pet peeves, but to keep it simple slow people in cars, when walking in the store. It doesn't matter. I can not stand having no control over speed. It sounds weird I know. I have to be able to know I can speed up or slow down when I want not because somebody is making me.

Also people telling me how my job is done. I work at a pharmacy, and I can't stand people who say "all you have to do is put a label on it." 
This is not the only things Pharmacist and Technicians do.

6. A nervous habit
If my hair is down I usually twirl it on my fingers, or I pick at my fingers.

7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Left side if you're looking at the ceiling

I'm sure you can guess the side.

8. The name of your first stuffed animal
Sarah is the first I can remember she was a white bear my dad gave me. When he was in the hospital

9. What do you buy at Starbucks?
Vanilla Latte for hot coffee and Vanilla Bean Frapp for cold coffee

10. Beauty rule
Don't have any. I'm not really a makeup type girl.
I'll wear some eye shadow and eyeliner occasionally.

11. Which way do you face in the shower?
I usually do a full 360 to get clean, but mainly I face away from the shower head. 

12. A weird body skill
I can roll my tongue

13. Comfort food
Pizza

I prefer cheese though.

14. A word or phrase that you say all the time
Don't know. I think my husband hates when I say it, but I'm a very indecisive person.

15. What do you sleep in?

A Tank top and comfy shorts in summer and if I get really cold my pajama pants.

A Little History

In 2012, Katelyn, one of my dearest blogging friends, hosted the first Book Blogger Love-a-Thon. She came up with the event, because she wanted to create a way for bloggers to spend some time sharing the love into the community. In 2013, I joined her to co-host the event and did it again in 2014. This year around, Katelyn will be taking a break from hosting – so I’ll be flying solo (and missing Katelyn while I do). 

An A to Z of me

I use to love doing things like this because it always gives a little more in depth look at who the blogger is. I found this over at Crossroads Reviews. If you've seen the about me page then you know I love being able to share with the readers things about me because I found it to be more personable. :)

A. Age: 27 and what's weird is I always have a brain fart when people ask me. We were having thanksgiving at RYan's granparents house this year and someone asked me how old I was and I had to stop and think about it, and Ryans like 27 babe.
B. Bed size: Full size but I'm thinking if we move intoa house with a bigger bedroom I want a big bed..
C. Chore that you hate: Dusting because it stirs everything up and then I start coughing
D. Dogs: I love dogs to death I've had keeshonds growing up, a beagle who I loved to pieces he was the first pet that was ever mine, and then I had a dachshund for the longest before he passed away a few years ago. I haven't had one since because I live in an apt and I couldn't keep a dog cooped up in a cage while working.  I really do want another Dachshund though 
E. Essential start to your day: 
Wake up by alarm clock if I have to work, or if I'm not in a deep sleep wake up by my darling husband at 6 or 7 in the morning. Get ready for work depending on the time I have to be there, or if I'm not working I'll turn on supernatural at 9am and 10 am and then watch bones after that.
F. Favorite color: Red and Black baby. Those were my wedding colors so my apt is decked out in those colors.
G. Gold or Silver: Silver or white gold for me.  I hate regular gold. My wedding ring is white gold, with little black diamonds on either side of the actual diamond ring
H. Height: well I'm 5 foot  4
I. Instruments you play: I've never tried to play an instrument
J. Job title: CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Tech)
K. Kids: Nope

O. Overnight hospital stays:  I had heart surgery back when I was in first grade.
P. Pet peeves:  People telling me they're going to do something with me and then don't follow through.  Give me a reason if you don't plan on doing it. (I had a bit of a fight last night with the hubby because of this. All is okay now.)

R. Right or left handed: Right...I'm the oddball in my family. My mom, dad, brother and grandparents are all left handed.

U. Underwear: What's that? Just kidding..
V. Vegetable you hate: Hummm..If I were my husband I'd say all of them seriously he will not touch veggies, but truthfully I can't think of one I hate.
W. What makes you run late: Just me being lazy, or my husband.
X. X-Rays you’ve had: My arm when I broke it back in elementary school from tripping over my dollhouse. Yes, you heard right a dollhouse. How about scanning my brain. Does that count? I've had that done to see why I kept having bad headaches a few years ago.

Sorry if I have been completely neglecting my site lately. I had some blog tours I was suppose to actually be on, and I did plan on doing them, but because things changed a day or so before I couldn't get them up. Plus I never got the books to read for my reviews. That's another issue though. 

Today I wanted to share my happiness with everybody. I just got married on Saturday (November 16)

I'm a what?

I'm a 25 year old bookaholic. If you asked me back when I was a teenager in high school is this what I thought I'd be like...A book in my hands reading for pleasure...my answer. No. I hated reading. Simple as that. I hated it. Now I cringe at the thought of even hearing myself saying that. 

But like...Who are you really?

Oh you mean aside from the bookish me. I work as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS. Yes we're the ones that ask for the annoying cvs card. Don't get me wrong I like my job, but some of the stuff they come up with irritates me. It's as if we don't have anything better to do then call and annoy people at home, or whatever. I'm curious as to what these Rhode Island big wig Cvs people are thinking. Is it not enough that we have to fill our patients scripts so they can go home and get to feeling better, but we have to in my opinion do paperwork that's pointless. Just let us take care of our patients! (My mini work rant)

When I'm not working, I spend a lot of my free time at home, maybe not my home necessarily, but you get the picture. I just try to relax. I like to watch movies, and curl up and read. I enjoy writing stories and poetry. (Most my poetry is that angsty teen stuff.) I've been thinking about going back to school to try and pursue something in the pharmaceutical area that's not a tech. Maybe even something in the English department. (Then those dreams get shot down by those who say what could you possibly do with an English degree. Thanks for the support people.) I actually have one pharmacist that always tells me "Ashley you should go back to school and do something in the English area.' It's funny too the way he says it I guess cause he has a thick accent.  My music taste is varied really. I'm not to picky when it comes to that. I <3 Eminem. I'm pretty shy at first, but once I get to know someone I open up.  I'm very close to my family (mom, brother, nieces, grandma). I'm very easy to be around and I like everyone until they go and treat me like crap. Then it's usually hard to get me to trust them again.

Doing huh?

I love creating stories. Okay, trying to create them. Is there a difference? My friend was actually a lot better at coming up with the main points when we wrote together. We called them our never ending story. I kid you not we have quite a few. Vampires/Vampire Hunters and Witches/Fairies. those were our two longest running ones. Then Witches in College,  Hybrids, Fairies, teenagers stranded on an island, celebrities, and probably many more. Our latest is actually a vampire one that I love to pieces, but we haven't worked on it since 2010. Then I have my own I started from back in High School which are a girl who has visions (This one by far was my fave. I should try and pick up on it. I even thought about using it for NaNoWriMo this year. I tried last year but failed miserably), cliques at schools, two special teen girls with special parents, and others. I know I'm pretty vague on what the stories are about. I'm bad with trying to make a synopsis.

Why exactly?

I love reading. I love books. They let us go to worlds beyond--only imagineable in our minds, they let us become the characters, travel to times we've never been, see worlds we might never see. Books are much more than words just written. They are stories that need to be told. Reading is so much more than just seeing words on a page. It's an understanding that life may not always be the best, but it could be much worse.

Just saying!
Don't judge me because I read and enjoy it. Don't look at me funny when you see a book in my hand and not something  else. Talk to me. Get to know me. Understand that just because I sometimes would rather live in a world other than my own that I do still live in this one.

My Epilogue...

I don't bite. I don't shift. I don't cast. I can't fly. I don't have fins. I just read. That is just me.
