If you could jump into a book, and live in that world which would it be?
from Lisa Desrochers
You know what? This, I’ve decided, is going to be my superpower…you know, when we all get to pick one. So…let’s narrow this down. Process of elimination…
Panem from Hunger Games is definitely out. President Snow is scary…and even if I lived in the Capitol where I *might* not get blown up, I don’t want purple skin or anything. Although hanging out with Lenny Kravitz would super cool…but totally not worth purple skin.
The Wardrobe might be kind of cool. I mean…Ben Barnes Prince Caspian is in there…but so is the White Witch. And it’s really cold because of her. And I don’t like to be cold. I also don’t like nasty, evil witches, so…Which makes me think about Hogwarts…where there are also nasty evil witches, but of a totally different kind. I think Luna Lovegood and I could actually be besties…which means I’d be friends with Harry, so…maybe He Who Shall Not Be Named wouldn’t be quite so scary…or
He would just kill us all… What if my being there, like, changed the space-time continuum and screwed up the whole balance of power and He Who Shall Not Be Named ended up killing Harry instead of the other way around and…
So, then, that leaves Middle Earth. If I stayed the heck away from Frodo and Mount Doom, how much could I really screw things up, right? And there Legolas. Legolasssssssss……… What? Oh…sorry. *blushes* Yep, Middle Earth it is. Here I come, Leggy!

Title: A LITTLE TOO FAR (A Little Too Far #1)
Pub. Date: September 17, 2013/October 1, 2013
Publisher: William Morrow
Pages: 336
Formats: Paperback, eBook
Description… Lexie Banks has. Yep. She just had mind-blowing sex with her stepbrother. In her defense, she was on the rebound, and it’s more of a my-dad-happened-to-marry-a-woman-with-a-super-hot-son situation. But still, he’s been her best friend and confidant for the better part of the last few years … and is so off limits. It’s a good thing she’s leaving in two days for a year abroad in Rome. But even thousands of miles away, Lexie can’t seem to escape trouble. Raised Catholic, she goes to confession in hopes of alleviating some of her guilt … and maybe not burning in hell. Instead, she stumbles out of the confessional and right into Alessandro Moretti, a young and very easy-on-the- eyes deacon … only eight months away from becoming a priest. Lexie and Alessandro grow closer, and when Alessandro’s signals start changing despite his vow of celibacy, she doesn’t know what to think. She’s torn between falling in love with the man she shouldn’t want and the man she can’t have. And she isn’t sure how she can live with herself either way. Description… In the follow-up to Lisa Desrochers’ explosive New Adult novel A Little too Far, Alessandro Moretti must face the life he escaped and the girl he loved and left behind. Twenty-two year old Hilary McIntyre would like nothing more than to forget her past. As a teenager abandoned to the system, she faced some pretty dark times. But now that’s all behind her. Hilary has her life on track, and there’s no way she’ll head back down that road again. Until Alessandro Moretti—the one person who can make her remember—shows up on her doorstep. He’s even more devastatingly gorgeous than before, and he’s much too close for comfort. Worse, he sees right through the walls she’s built over these last eight years, right into her heart and the secrets she’s guarding. As Hilary finds herself falling back into love with the man who, as a boy both saved and destroyed her, she must decide. Past or future? Truth or lies?

I'm reading A Little Too Much right now and I'm looooooooving it. I finished A Little Too far a few days ago. I am a little obsessed with this series! But I"m a little nervous about the third one. I so desperately didn't like Sam that I'm afraid my pre-judgement of her will ruin the book. I will just have to trust Lisa on this one I guess.
ReplyDeleteI've read all the books and I couldn't agree with you more I love the series. I was glad we go to see Sam story and really is good. It's a bit different then the others.
