Readathon: Clean Slate 2016: The start

Hosted by Novel Ink, Lost in Lit, and Latte Nights

So, what exactly is the Clean Slate Read-A-Thon? This read-a-thon is only for books that we didn’t get to in 2015…that were released in 2015. Any 2015 released we didn’t read is eligible for this read-a-thon. We want to start this year off with a clean slate so let’s get those 2015 released off our TBR and let it slim down!

Readathon: Bout of Books 2016: Scavenger Hunt

Book Scavenger Hunt:
1. Book Shelves

These are actually not all my books. (most are in storage)

2. A book you’re planning to read/currently reading for Bout of Books

The first is The Wrath and the Dawn which I have about 150 more pages to go probably. On my kindle is A wicked thing which I just start and am about 14% into, and the other is A truth about Alice which I might try and start tonight.

3. A Book and a Beverage

This is my pick for a book and a beverage because I'm reading it right now, and I know the wine glass doesn't have a drink in it, but I wanted to show it off. (This is one of my hobbies painting glasses.)

I thought this would make a cute picture because of the cover of the book and my little mug. :)

4. Blue Books

These are a few blue books I spotted on my shelves. I haven't read any of them. I have read the first two books in the Ghost and the goth series which Body and Soul belongs to so that's the next book I might read as well.

5. Cozy Reading Spot

This would probably be the most cozy. My bed of course. It has books right beside it. Nice pillows and my stuffed doxie Scooter. :)

Readathon: Bout of Books 2016: Reading Rainbow

For the cover challenge, collect books from your bookshelf (physical or virtual) and make yourself a rainbow using the covers. A rainbow is ROYGBIV (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet). Today’s challenge is easy. I’ve listed five bookish would you rathers down below and you just have to answer them. You can answer wherever it is you’re updating you BOB progress. (If you’re on Twitter, make sure you’re using the #boutofbooks and just link up one tweet.) Then come back and link up your answers so people can come check out what you’d rather do and enter the giveaway! It’s easy!

Would you rather:
Lend books to someone who dog-ears pages or to someone who reads with cheesy Cheetos fingers?

HUMMM..this is a hard one but I think I can deal with dog-eared pages, but having orange smudges all over my books would not sit well.

Would you rather:
Be able to meet one character of your choice or meet one author of your choice?

Hummm...Meet one character of my choice

Would you rather:
Never be allowed in a book store again or never be allowed in a library again?

A book store. I go in bookstores all the time, and rarely go to the library.

Would you rather:
Have to choose one of your favorite characters to die in their book or have to pick one of your favorite couples to break up in their book?

One of my favorite couples break-up because at least they'll still be alive.

Would you rather:
Be required to read Twilight once a year for the rest of your life or The Scarlet Letter once a year for the rest of your life?

Twilight. I haven't read the scarlet letter, and I know I can enjoy twilight.
