Kindle Deals (8)

I always see blogs that have a page that show deals for the kindle, and I occasionally find one or two books on there that I would want. I'm more of a YA girl, and seeing as how most my followers are (I'm assuming here) I decided to make a list of the YA books I found that are $3.99 and less for the kindle. There are plenty more Ya books that are on amazon, but these caught my attention because either I have them, I've read them, or I'm dying to read them. :) Just click on the title and it takes you to their amazon page in a new window.
I'm not sure how long these deals will be here so get them while they're available.

Reviews I've written for the books above:
Shatter Me
I'm actually reading Freaks of Nature right now, and its a pretty short book. I must say I'm intrigued with it. A cyborg and human falling in love.

Waiting on Wed: Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn

Waiting on Wed is hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine
It's something that she does every Wed where we pick a book that hasn't been released yet.

AUTHOR:
EXPECTED PUBLICATION: June 11th, 2013
PUBLISHER: HarperTeen
OUTLINE: The spine-tingling horror of Stephen King meets an eerie mystery worthy of Sara Shepard's Pretty Little Liars series in Kate Karyus Quinn's haunting debut.

On a cool autumn night, Annaliese Rose Gordon stumbled out of the woods and into a high school party. She was screaming. Drenched in blood. Then she vanished.

A year later, Annaliese is found wandering down a road hundreds of miles away. She doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know how she got there. She only knows one thing: She is not the real Annaliese Rose Gordon.

Now Annaliese is haunted by strange visions and broken memories. Memories of a reckless, desperate wish . . . a bloody razor . . . and the faces of other girls who disappeared. Piece by piece, Annaliese's fractured memories come together to reveal a violent, endless cycle that she will never escape—unless she can unlock the twisted secrets of her past

Why I chose this:
I've always enjoyed the mystery, spine tingley books, and this one sounds right up my alley. Murder, mystery, and also I'm trying look for something not so paranormal like right now.
What are you waiting on this week?

Book Review: Nobody by Jennifer L. Barnes

AUTHOR: Jennifer L Barnes
PUBLISHER: EgmontUSA

PAGES: 393

STAND ALONE/SERIES: Stand alone
SOURCE: From publisher
OUTLINE:

There are people in this world who are Nobody. No one sees them. No one notices them. They live their lives under the radar, forgotten as soon as you turn away.

That’s why they make the perfect assassins.

The Institute finds these people when they’re young and takes them away for training. But an untrained Nobody is a threat to their organization.

MY THOUGHTS
What if you were ignored by your parents, your classmates, and pretty much everybody around you? How would you finally feel, if the one person who notices you, was standing outside your window with a gun pointed at you? Probably the way Claire felt.

Okay, so when I first was asked to review Nobody, I thought it sounded really interesting. I mean come on, Assassins, secret goverment agencies, people who can't  be seen. While it had all of this I found it to be so much more as well. Let's go back to the begining of the story. It did take me some time to warm up to it because it confused me a bit. I guess that's to be expected though because we're just learning about the setting and characters. I mean I was kind of confused as to what nobodys and nulls were, who were these people deciding who needed to die, and so on. Eventually I found that my questions were pretty much answered. Which led me to loving the story so much more than I did at the begining of it.

The concept of the story is definitely was pulled me into it. I'm so used to the vampires, werewolves, future societies, that Nobody was a refreshing idea in my eyes. People who walked around unnoticed, people who could manipulate matter and turn into basically nothing. If this sounds a bit odd it's because it was, but in such a good way. At times, I wish I could have been Claire or Nix floating above the city in their little bubble of nothingness.  The way that the author describe it was mesmerizing. You don't have to worry about running into people. You can be free, and isn't that what we all want sometimes to be free?

Oh and speaking and Claire and Nix they were an adorable couple and guess what? NO love triangle! I was pretty excited to see that. Although there was a bit of that insta-love that sometimes we can't stand. I mean did it take Claire time to warm up to Nix sure because he was sent to kill her. After the initial meeting things began to wear down and it was nice to see. I really felt bad for Nix because of all the lies he was told and everything he'd done in his past. It hurt me to see him in pain. I just wanted to go up to him and hug him to pieces. Claire was definitely a strong character in my opinion. She had to be since she practically raised herself it seemed. I guess being what she was, it was inevitable, sometimes though people need that feeling of being loved, of being wanted, because eventually it will break you down, break your spirits, and cause you to wonder if your worth it.

It's kinda sad to see that it's not a series. I mean as much as I like the idea that not every book and story has to be a series. I would like to know what happens after the ending of this book.
